I did not have anything against my husband, but he was such a puke at that time… On October 15, we had been together for 5 years… I very much hoped that he had not booked anything for that particular evening. But unfortunately I was unable to believe so… Whatever let’s get to see the “surprise”…
My plans to fly back to Switzerland, had been set for October 29, 2002. Direct flight to Zurich then being picked up fm my parents and then up and away for Basel. My parents would carry all my luggage… I was pregnant and was not supposed to carry anything LOL… Also my parents were not the youngest anymore… Sometimes I have no idea what certain men think (i.e. Salah and colleagues). The two fishwives (Salah and his special friend) were still gossiping… At least it was abt business this time. Salah wanted… Well – I was not allowed to talk abt it. Yet it was no big deal anyway, he wanted to open a Pizza-Service with his “gossiping” friend but it never worked out. He has still got debts with my parents around 50’000 Swiss Franks and also with our friends around 15’000 Swiss Franks… Yet he does not even pay alimonies so why expect him to pay back his debts anyway? Whatever some humans are like that, they talk a lot and never fulfil anything they have/promise/d… So, best (that was a lesson in Libya) is not to expect ANYTHING at all! Then we will never be disappointed! Yet, I am sure, that all of you know abt that, anyway.
You cannot guess how much I missed my best friends! My girlfriends! We all need a strong shoulder to lean on. Sorry, but I have had more female friends who were able to cope with problems than men… Who is the stronger sex now?
Many times men are/were stuck with challenges. Then women find/found a faster and easier going solution. I know a man who is like a woman regarding this matter and, he is NOT gay (!), yet he accepts and worships his female side completely! VERY RARE! VERY PRECIOUS and unfortunately happily married! RATS…
Well the hormones, those swayings were absolutely unbearable! The hormones during pregnancy were getting on my nerves!
I needed some more trousers, nothing fit anymore! I was in the 5th month and it was still growing. It was as cold as in Switzerland in Libya – winter, if something like that existed there…
Well, it was cold because of the rain. And there had been rain because of the volcanic eruption of the Vesuvius in Italy. Half Tripoli was under water. The cars were not driving but swimming. Some were standing at the wayside and there was no way to get in there. We were also swimming to the Swiss Embassy. It was a creepy feeling but my husband said that he knows how to drive and true, he knew. It was a hard period for the Libyans. Some houses broke down completely and people were buried with it. The highway had to be closed because it was flooded. During the night we heard noises like gun fire; one terminal box after the other went. At the end there was one more boom and ours had been gone, too. After more than 48 hrs of no electricity (you can imagine that you better throw all in your fridge and freezer…) Adel and my husband solved the situation all alone. If they had not done that, we would still sit there with no electricity… An elusive situation for Swiss citizens, I guess. A candle became of vital importance. Romantic feelings went forgotten when that happened. People fm Tripoli had to struggle.
